IS TAX AUSTRALIA was established by Ian Smith, a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with more than 10 years experience. His areas of expertise include Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs), Self Managed Super Funds (SMSFs) and high net wealth individuals.

 

Qualifications and Memberships

Ian holds a Bachelor Degree in Accounting (Distinction) as well as a Bachelor of Laws Degree, graduating from the Queensland University of Technology.

Ian qualified as a Chartered Accountant (CA) in 2003.

Personal
Ian grew up in Brisbane and currently resides in Zetland, Sydney. Also a keen sportsman, Ian has an avid interest in Rugby Union and has been a rugby referee for over 14 years. He has been refereeing in the Super 15 competition since 2008 which is played in Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.
When he is not working, Ian enjoys travelling to new destinations to experience different cultures, or relaxing at his home in Sydney.
